ST. MARK'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
GENERATIONS OF FAITH IN ACTION
:: Plays and Performances

Our Sunday School presents 2 pageants each year - one for Christmas and one for Easter. The play for Easter 2006, "The Easter pagaent that almost wasn't" - will be performed on Sunday, April 23rd, at the 10:30 AM service.

The kids also do presentations to the larger congregation several times a year.  For Lent 2005, our youth presented a 7 part play, "Whose Cross Is It, Anyway?," in which they explored all the excuses people use for not following the cross and not following Christ each Sunday. These short skits were entertaining, insightful, and often filled with suspense. As part of the church's Centennial Celebration in 2003, the youth wrote, directed and produced a play retracing the 100 year history of the church. This required considerable research and organization and they rose to the challenge and did an excellent job. Our younger children often present action songs and poems that they learn as part of their lessons. The children really enjoy these opportunities to shine in front of the whole church.
