In his letter congratulating Andrew, Canon Lyons wrote, “In your unassuming but very effective way, you are an example to all of us at St. Mark’s. No complaints … no regrets, you just plug on and accomplish the tasks. You are always ready to involve yourself and accept the challenges offered. No one can doubt that you love your church. You richly deserve it and St Marks thanks you most sincerely for all that you do. Keep on inspiring us.”

Esbelle’s congratulatory letter from Canon Lyons said, “If anyone deserves this honor, you do.  You exemplify what we aspire to become as members of St Marks. Your extraordinary love for your church is an inspiration to all of us. Your selflessness and generosity always make me realize what Christ meant to those who followed him. Your love and encouragement mean the whole world to those of us who are inspired by you. We thank you for who you are … a most beautiful person.”
